IO performance boats in generals are getting harder and harder to sell.
add the fact that it’s 26 years old so hard to borrow against and difficult to insure. Mix that with the fact that it’s 45’ and triples. did I mention fuel prices are likely to be near $6 a gallon this year. sorry for all the bad news…but it will be a tough one to move. Most people in your price range will want a newer 38 twin boat. I think parting it would be your best bet. Might take longer but will likely garner the most money. |
Wasn't joking but not a CC, I would keep the cabin. That could be a bad A$$ Bahama's cruiser that you could stay on. Some type of hardtop would be needed to stay out of the sun though.

I don't know if you were joking but I've seen a bunch of offshore boats converted to CC's. Saw an older 32 Baja Oulaw, a 42' Cigarette Revolution, older Scarab. I think it's a fantastic way to make a boat work.
You could easily sell off the parts to pay for the conversion. Strip the boat down and push the helm bulk head up to about 5' in front of the Vee birth and then build a new bulkhead with door. by a new console with T top, put a bracket on and slap 3 450's on it lay a floor down in the engine compartment and ditty done done - custom built CC! The ones I've seen done in the past came out very cool. I wish I could find the pics of the candy red 42 Cig revolution they did in the bahamas. Came out so good looking. |
Here’s one listed with twins for 130K. Looks like a bad arse wave crusher!!! You could trade yours in and use the powertrain out of this boat for your Chris Cat🍻

i’m sure it’s a great boat as I’ve always liked sonics and owned a 31 and it was a well built boat, unfortunately it’s a small market for that boat ,realistically I think it’s a 65 to 68K boat in today’s market, you’re probably better off, keeping it

thanks for your thoughts on ball park price ! not many gave clear numbers ! :)
