Bob was a Los Angeles City fireman for at least 20 years before boats. He started his boat business as a side business as did many fireman have side jobs/businesses. He ran it out of an airplane hanger and then moved to his shop. As the business grew being a fireman was taking too much time and he retired to do boats full time.

Is that the same Fireman that was on Saturday Night Live

Bob and Norm are brothers. Norm builds engines for Teague Custom Marine which is owned by Bob and his wife Andrea. Bob and Norm use to run the Powerboat Fountain raceboat for Bob Nordskog, the former founder and publisher of Powerboat Magazine. Bob passed away around 1992...his son Jerry now runs that business. Bob is the tech editor and tester for Powrboat Magazine.
Bob and Norm are no relation to Gary Teague, owner of GT Performance. Gary specializes in the high performance ski race boats that go 110 miles an hour....Hallets and Schiada's. Hope this helps.
