If you don't absolutely need the scoops for clearance, then you could design your scoops and pad cushions so that they are removable. For all the reasons mentioned above I usually leave my scoops off the boat. But I can remove two of the pad cushions and bolt on the scoops in about 5 minutes. This pleases the family, but allows for the proper "look" at poker run or fun run appearances.

Hyper -
With the 454 in the baja - me and the girlfriend - just bored on a beutiful Sunday- ran from Toledo to detroit just to have a pizza in greektown
(at Papillo's!!!!) anyone from this area should know the place....
we got there - tied up - took the people mover - had dinner - filled the tank back up - ran back to toledo.

add it up - that pizza cost me $200.00!!!

$75 to get there (fuel)
$25 for "beverages"and ice
$75 fuel to get back
$25 at Papillo's.

However, - one of the best pizza's (or should I really say one of the best days!!) of my life.

I'd like to do that again - and not have to spend as much.

Hence, - the new project.

Does anyone know where to get a set of scoops that won't break the bank? And yes the cover has to be modified.
quiet storm,
i got mine from summit racing, i used the 3163,
but if i had to do it over again i would do the
4163, it is a bolt on type, the 3163, is a bond
on type, for the amount of work required the
$ 30 bucks more for the bolt on is worth it,
i believe the cost are $163 for the bond on,
and $193 for the bolt on.
hope this helps
