Default Mini Cooper S????

I am thinking about buying a Mini Cooper s just for fun. Anyone have any comments or have driven one of these? I think it would be a lot of fun for 23k!

Thumbs up Crash Test

Besides neat lookin little cars, they did offset crash tests in that laboratory and the results were on TV a couple nights ago. The "Cooper" came out at the top of the list. Not a bad choice i would say!

Driven the "S". Had good pep (not a Fast car, but feels quick and makes nice noises).

Tight car, no rattles (course it had only 400 miles on it). Comfortable and probably roomier than you'd expect (but then again, I figured it would have NO room).

The dashboard is the coolest part of the whole car - especially the row of guarded chrome-handled toggle switches for everything.

I like em - if the car is in your "size" requirements, go drive one.

i took one for a ride. nice car. not a lot of creature comfort for a long drive. but i think it would be a great commuter car. great on fuel and parking. even better if you don't have big city road rage traffic to contend with. open the sun roof and enjoy the sunshine.....

Handles awesome. Just tested by the mags as being the fastest car ever through the high speed slalom course.

Translated= drives like a cool little go-cart.

I drove the "S" model and it is a neat car.

Good choice for a 2nd/toy car

I'd go for it... The "S" model with the blower has to be a fun car! Made by BMW, cheaper than a VW GTI...

I think they are awesome looking, and have heard they drive very well. Just wish the wife agreed on the looks?

Just take a look at the Insurance Institute Crash Test Ratings before you buy.

From what I saw on Dateline a couple of week ago, they did not do very well.

I am always concerned with safety, and it will adversly effect the insurance rates on the car as well.

Keep us posted.
