Mike, Best of luck with Runaway. I happen to have a picture of it running side by side with our old race boat, A-4 Empty Pockets, at the world champioships in Key West in '92. We had just went past
Runaway and moved into 1st place when one of our Bravo drives snapped off. We then spun 180 degrees, hit the next sea and went end over end backwards (twice) and then barrel-rolled to a stop. It was typical Key West water that day, 4-5 foot swells, and I remember thinking we really needed to rethink this scenario of running 85 mph in 28' boats. But it was always great fun mixing it up with Runaway in rough water.
