DaveP, I feel it was also not the topic of the day...:rolleyes: When they start reading about it from the Associated Press, that is what seems to bring the topics of the day. Let's not back off from them. We now have to ask them to make it a topic of the day for him. Maybe you need some time with Jim to better explain the situation. 2 1/2 minutes is not enough for him to understand. You did get across alot though Dave! Great job!;)

I'd like to see education for all boaters not just powerboaters.
Most sailboaters assume they always have right of way and sometimes create dangerous situations for all boaters based on their lack of knowledge.

I think public awareness is also something that needs to be addressed. Most people don't understand that performance boats are safe in the hands of responsible people. They need to understand that someone going fast is not a nut. However, we need education and STRICT enforcement of the existing laws to weed out the nuts from the rest of us. This will help relieve some of the tension on the bay.

NJPPC has been doing a great job.
