I've ridden in and worked on tons of 388's they are not a solid boat in the ocean they shake rattle and really roll .I can give names on the roll!! They have no resale ,value ,,But you can buy cheap if you look ,most fla. brokers won't take them because they can sell them .
well I could keep on but enough is enough ! I know you guys with them will dispute my coments but sorry this is what I've found to be true.

I hate be down on anybodys stuff but I'm trying to help ,misery likes company guys ,I'm not trying to start and issue just voice the truth
They are nice looking ,but just read the new power boats veiw on the Hustler talon wiring ect.

Look at a Nordic its good price and fast and tough or the other two are good boats

have a great day

I always liked the looks of the SCARAB,s and thought that they were ahead of their time. I have a 1992 34 and it is ROCK solid in the rough stuff. You will always know what it is going to do in the rough. I have never been surprised by this boat in a bad way. It does surprise me in that it handles the rough stuff as good as it does. I have raced 40 ft Fountains and beaten them only because the SCARAB stayed flat and kept me in controll. NO tendency to ROLL.

Your right on that the scarab goes straight like a boat twice its size.
The hustler bow hunts and wanders at speed with wind or crrossing waves ?

THAT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME I'VE HEARD THAT...
IT'S ACTUALLY QUITE OBVIOUS IF YOU WATCH ONE GO THROUGH THE WATER...

Thats pretty scary about hustler, I think I will scratch Hustler from the list.I have heard a couple of times about Scarab that the dashes rattle and squeek alot because the dash is not part of the top mold giving less support,is this true?

The Hustler mold must not be straight, because every Slingshot that I have seen has wavy strakes. I hear that they have trouble breaking the 100mph mark as well.

If you go back and watch some old F-2 races you can watch them rock and roll, and porpoise.

I like all three, I dont share the same negatives the others do aboiut Hustler. For every negative on any of these brands there is a positive......
But speed.... Hustlers
Looks, ride, comfort...scarab
Plushness...ride.. Formula.

I would look at all three, drive em, and pick the one you feel most comfy with.
I am a Scarab Guy and the dash does rattle where the door meets the dash(goes behind it actually). But I have seen some folks that took care of that with proper molding and pads.
Good luck to ya,
