:D :D :D

GREEK LIGHTNING 01-07-2003 06:40 PM

I have dealt with National Marine in the past and currently I have my second Cigarette on order with them. Both boat purchases and trades have been great. No problems. Bill has always returned my calls within a couple hours. His entire staff is very accomodating and helpful. Bill always goes that extra mile to make sure his customer is satified. I can't say enough about National Marine and their service!!!

Troutly, I didn't get what you meant
Give me a call on my cell sometime.

Daryl 01-08-2003 06:27 AM

National Marine was notified by the B.B.B. to clear up the situation but Mr. Hionis is still dragging his feet. To me it seems they are"robbing Peter to pay Paul".

jb 01-08-2003 06:56 AM

hmmm, plot thickens
On one side if you spend and continue to spend :
over a 1/4 million dollars= great service
less than that= questionable

Is that what it is??

WesSmith 01-08-2003 07:13 AM

You could certainly make that assumption , couldn't you.....

I'm still waiting for return phone calls and e-mails from months ago.

Guess I'm not spending enough either.

Daryl 01-08-2003 07:42 AM

I guess I should have spent another 50 grand and I would be getting better service!

vagrant 01-08-2003 08:06 AM

JB, the plot is thickening I am just keeping my fingers from the bad words:D

bobby daniels 01-08-2003 03:36 PM

SCREW THE JET ARE THEY STILL SCREWING OSO MEMBERS ???

Sonic Steve 01-08-2003 09:30 PM

It dosnt matter how much money you spend with National Marine, they will screw you just the same. A freind of mine bought a 42 Baja that was a dealer demo never been titled. Needless to say they were to address several problems with the boat which never got resolved. Instead they delivered the boat to Chicago with 3 out of the 4 batteries dead and not even a phone call to tell him that that the boat had been dropped off.
He has been disputing with National for over a year now and has gotten nowhere with them unfortunatly he has had to get lawyer involved, will have to see where that gets him. Oh did I mention that he has a blown motor now and thay claim that the engines were a brand new.
So good luck to all those who choose to do business with them.

jb 01-09-2003 07:53 AM

Are they still advertising on OSO??

MrMagloo 01-09-2003 10:08 AM

Amen!

vagrant 01-09-2003 10:29 AM

I just received a phone call from Tommy and Bill at National Marine. I believe that they will resolve my problem shortly. I believe National Marine wants to take care of there problems and
put things to rest. I did ask them to respond to the problems on here . I believe they feel, that if they satisfy the customer then National Marine will receive good feed back here. National Marine has made a generous offer to satisfy me untill my problem gets resolved. I do thank Natinal Marine for that!

If it's not at least a G3 don't bother.

Since they can't seem to return calls or e-mails, which is just plain good business, I seriously doubt they made the right choice in a jet either.
BTW, that should read "if it's not a Falcon, don't bother". Gulstreams are good looking, but VERY old technology.;) :D

Daryl 01-09-2003 11:29 AM

The fact is the starboard engine only had 12 hours on it the port had 30 hours on it. The boat ran fine for me. As far as the gas tank I knew nothing about that. They are trying to flip blame on me. They did have the option to do any test they wanted to befor they took the used boat.

45sonic 01-09-2003 11:40 AM

Just a quick note to say that I also talked with Bill and we have come to an understanding that is beneficial to both of us. Part of the problem was that being in a different state the "rules" for registration are diffrent than what I am used to. The boat we purchased is an excellent product and National is warranting the drives and engines and is willing to have a mechanic come down for the spring start up. They did a deal with us that no one else would even touch. For that I say THANK YOU to Bill and his staff.

Daryl,

I dont know about Ohio, However here in Florida the insurance you bought is regulated through the state insurance commissioner. You should not need an attorney, simply call and follow up with written complaint. The state must have laws in effect to protect the consumer.
Also, your contract is with the insuranse company not a dealer. The dealer only submits an application for a policy, something smells fishy! becouse these are profit centers for the dealers they sell the policy that makes the most money. Not necessarally the one that will offer the best protection.
Read your policy thoroughly, there has to be a cancellation clause somewhere in the fine print. Most will refund by prorating the balance on the contract by calander.
In 20 years I have never had to sign off on any kind of customer refund. Typically the dealers selling volumes of warranties have to maintain a dealer reserve accoutn for this type of refund.
Good Luck!

They are a great bunch of guys. They took care of me on every issue I ever had.
I'm sure there are 2 sides to every story........
I think Daryl is not stating all the facts, so I called Bill myself to see what's up...
Find out Daryl traded in a boat with 2 blown motors and a cracked fuel tank. I will not go into any more details because it's all second hand info. coming from me, but Bill told me they would be posting something about the matter.
Daryl, all I know, if you did that to me, I wouldn't be in a hurry to refund anything to you.
Thanks,
Have a nice day

That's Bull****, I was on Daryls boat before they picked it up and the engines were fine:mad:

WesSmith 01-09-2003 01:52 PM

Still doesn't explain ignoring the calls and e-mails of potential customers looking for information on boats they've advertised....

Ike 01-09-2003 02:17 PM

Exactly:eureka:

bobby daniels 01-09-2003 02:23 PM

DAVID I'M HAPPY NATIONAL IS GOING TO MAKE YOU HAPPY I KNEW BILL CAN DO WHAT EVER HE WANTS !! MAKES ME FEEL MUCH BETTER AND SHOULD YOU GUYS ALSO ,THEY DO HAVE A GREAT INVENTORY

Indy 01-09-2003 03:08 PM

Hey Wes, I'll explain it...it comes down to one thing only...they obviously don't need the additional business! My guess is that they have as much as they can handle. If they were HUNGRY, you bet all calls would be answered. Still doesn't excuse ingnoring potential customers.

vagrant 01-09-2003 03:09 PM

Bobby, this board really works in some cases at settling disputes or misunderstandings. I believe that National Marine cares about there reputation. National knows if they can make me happy and some others ,National will receive good feed back .I know my case is different than others and easier to solve than others,
but National does realize that the boating community is very small and word does get around. I am really looking forward to
getting back into boating and even the agravations of break downs. I have been with out a boat for to long .Come on Spring time!
David

bobby daniels 01-09-2003 03:15 PM

DAVID ,ITS LIKE SPRING HERE TODAY !! 70 DEGREES ,I'M HAPPY FOR YOU THOUGH
