Default While at the N.Y. show,

I was at the N.Y. show today and I was over at the Fountain display. I was pretty impressed with the 35' Executioner. I have never ridden in a Fountain before so I need some insight.

Is it a rough water boat like the salesman says?

Is it possible that she can go 79 mph with 496 ho's?

Is fountain the "Mercedes" of boats or is it just a name?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I was at that show Saturday 12/28. I thought the show sucked!! There were too many vendors selling things that had nothing to do with boats. Also, the turn out for performance boats wasn't great. I got into an arguement with a Mercruiser rep. A friend was buying a boat, he wants an MX6.2MPI Horizon engine. The Merc. rep. told us that the motor was only available with an inboard. You can't put an i/o in back of that motor. This guy needed to be ***** slapped a few times. So, I walked away while calling him an a$$hole.

I've thought for the last couple years that Atlantic City has been much better than NY...

Try to hit AC in February....

Thumbs down

I agree
I just returned from the show today (sunday), it was the same old boring show they put on every year. Never enough performance oriented boats. But I must say the Outer Limits were SWEET!!!!!!!!!.

The N.Y. show is always a let down, but we always have to give it a shot, any input on the Fountains?

And yes the new 42 gtx at the show is out of control!!!
Wish I had an extra 500k floating around!

The NY show just seems to be a bigger let down every year they have it.

Spoke with Cassatto at his booth (Cassatto Airbrushing-best work I've seen) he had said that they were given this date because the turn out gets worse every year.

The best thing there was Outerlimits. We got to pick at Paul's brain for a bit.

Can't wait until the AC Show. I've heard that there is not going to be show in Philly this year and that they are going to combine the 2. Any truth to that?

Oh yeah, the Fountain question. I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing in the Ocean. From experiences with the brother, you don't feel safe on the Atlantic in rough water at all.

Completely my opinion, they are for the lakes only.

N.Y. is the pits, & has been declining in quality for several years now. Atlantic City is much better.
