Default Help! Need new Fountain dash & cockpit

I'm helping my buddy redo his 1996 35' Fountain. We need a new dash, all new interior , bolsters, hatch, etc. Also new stainless bow rails. (powdercoat chipping). Can we do this without going back to Fountain and without spending a small fortune?

Livorsi makes repalcement dashes and all the gauges you need.

As for the powder coating there are a number of people for that. For the interior, you can get the skins from Reg and have someone else put them on. Sit down when you price them from Reg.

new dash.

buy the guages from livorsi and get a new panel made. Fin d fabricator that has a laser cutter. They you can make whatever kind of layout you want and can fit what ever guages you need. Plu sit might save you a few bucks as the livorsi panel are expensive. For bolsters you can haeva decent marine upholstery shop re-cover the current frames if your frames are shot you can use thw McLoed ($5000 each) or twin marines ($2000 each).

The hatch you can make yourself if you know hwo to do fiber glass work. Get marine ply wood and cover it in fiberglass then just sand and paint it. Its a pain in the ass but it will be much cheaper than having one made.

If the bolster frames are ''loose'' it does`nt mean that they are ''shot''. I have repaired several and it is wwwaaayyyy cheaper! I have even repaired several ''late model''McLoed frames and they were better than new when finnished.
As far as the material for the seats, Make sure that you use the heavy expenseve stuff. Labor is going to be a large part of the bill and you want it to last. As far as the logo`s in the material, maybe you could find a shop in your area that does custom embroidery on hats and T shirts that be willing to help you out. If I can help you out just let me know........Roger 1

The powdercoating is coming off in most places. But I think the pieces are to big to sandblast locally. Also the stainless steel looks pretty rough under the powdercoating. I think my only options are to re-powdercoat or replace, What do you guys think?
