Wear the shoes. If someone falls off my boat because of a wet deck I don't want to feel guilty because i told them not to wear shoes.
Vinyl and paint are cheap. I'm not paying no doctor bills.

As long as they are boat shoes or non maring gym shoes

It would be rude to board another boat while wearing shoes, so I ASK my guests to remove their shoes. I store them out of sight. This assures that everyone in my boat is barefoot at the "raft-up".

It's just a nice way to "keep the peace" at party cove.

SHOELESS

Never really understood the no shoes rules. Other than the gel coat and the paint on the trailor, everything else can be fixed. The vinyl isn’t that delicate, is it? As far as cleaning, usually detail the boat at the end of the weekend anyways.

Just a rookies two cents.

I second reckless288. Deck shoes or nothing.

i hate it at poker runs when the girls try to walk across the back of the boat ,i had one wearing hard black chunkie sole shoes went across . WHAT A STUPID *****.when i let loose on her she did not understand.prob should have help her in the water instead.would you let me walk on your cars paint or furniture with my shoes on. how about the deck shoes that have tread in them that can trap those little rocks and walk around on your deck that has the coustom paint job that fades into diffrent colors that has to be repainted not touched up.

Shoes sometimes

For me it depends on what type of shoe they have on and are they clean on the bottom. If they are flat and don't have anything sticking to them just wipe them off on an old towel but look to make sure. Sometimes peoples bare feet can become dirty and get little pieces of gravel stuck to the bottom in only a few steps so the bare feet can also make a mess.
It all depends on where you are docked. Some places I have been I wouldn't even want to think about taking off my shoes because it has been so nasty. Other times the area is so damn hot you can't stand to be bare footed not to mention splinters and nails ect. I just put down a few extra towels to walk on and make sure they are clean.

Either way as long as they are clean.
