Hers a update for you guys, The engine room rigging is just about complete and motors will be reinstalled. Just waiting on some diamond plate to come back from the anodizer.

That is used to revome the low pressure from the notched transom. Primarely it's an airv ent.

A Ventilated Notch .... very cool.

I've always thought of directing air to the transom area to reduce the vacuume there. That should probably net at least the same effect as the vented notch, if not more. Have you tested anything like that.

i thought that was what that was for, my 98 fountain has two hoses for the same reason but the hose is what appears to be much larger the size of my water intake hose.

We have tested it on several boats including all my F-2. It also aides in extended plaining of the boat. It does ease the low pressure.:)
