Check out this place:

www.softcommheadsets.com

I am installing one in my boat now. From what I can tell this is the exact same system that many of the other use for less money. However, there are a lot of wires to connect and run throughout the boat. Racing communications makes a wireing harness for $600.
You can listen to the radio or cd, music is automatically muted when you speak. It can be hooked up to the VHF.

6 person stereo intercom was less than 300 bucks

steve,
I have talked and worked with several flight com. manufactures....they do very different things internally. not to mention very important things externally. if you have a windshield you maybe in luck?? even then your system will never work like it was designed to in a plane. there is a WIDE rage of stuff out there (both av and marine) and i have a TON of crap (some VERY expensive) sitting in boxes to show for it.

Racing Communications Great stuff that continues to work even after the boat is upside down and full of water.
