Is that 3/4 foot waves or 3 to 4 foot waves ;)
|
they'll do well in both 3/4' chop and 3-4' waves...look at their record!
|
they thumped melon in SBI.

am sure Ryan will chime in when he sees this ...I was impressed with it at the Sarasota run it was quite calm out so I cannot really comment on the 3-4 foot handling first hand .but seems as though they have been proven on the race course...twin 2.5 + 5 people and a full tank = 90 not too shabby...we did manage to launch it once or twice...level and smooth...I'm not real familiar with driving cats but the boat handled very nicely for me...of course the throttleman was awsome.......

The AMT can run wide open in 3-4 as was stated above. A boat rigged right with 300's should get you to around 110MPH. The boats are built in Sarasota so not too far away. There is a boat in the mold right now that is going to California at the end of Feb. to be rigged out there and run at Havasu. As of now another boat that is for sale will be built right after that. At the Miami SBI race this year AMT finished 1,2&4th I think. An AMT has won the National Championship the past 3 years running. If you need any other info feel free to contact me at 941-915-1447. |
Are these new molds? Do they have a website?

it was Mr Beckley......

The hull mold and race deck ,were tooled on a CNC machine by Doug Wright. The pleasure deck was tooled using the race deck then tooled normally. www.amtpowerboats.com

i was on one of the pleasure versions this year at LOTO shoot out. had 300's i believe, and the boat it nothing short of amazing.
i would say 3-4's is not a problem. We were running in the 90's in some nasty stuff and it was just dancing. it was a great time and i appreciate Andy Trauth taking me out for the spin. later Dave |
