If someone ever gets the opportunity to interview him, I hope they ask him why he didn't just run in the first place. The whole helicopter escape baffles me. He knew he was going away and he knew he'd die in jail. It would have been easier for him to disappear into the Carribean or South America from Miami. Once you've busted out of a Federal prison in Indiana, where the hell do you run to?
Of course Benny is a scumbag. He still gets remembered because of the whole Apache thing. Had he started some half-a$$ed boat co. and not had Don clipped, he'd have disappeared like so many other anonymous dope smugglers. I mean, who talks about George Morales these days? |
