my .02 cents worth, at least they addressed the idea of having something to hold on to, i been in several boats with nothing in the back to hold on to. The Donzi handles look good, are functional, and leaves it up to the after market manufactures to come up with some nice billet that looks good and is functional.
Last year I put some straps into the back seat of a friends 31 AO, and what a world of difference, everyone that has riden in the boat since feels a lot safer with something to hold on to, take in mind the boat runs over 100 and is a blast in 3's and 4's, but with no handholds can be scary!

I got to go out and test our Donzi ZR last week. I must say it is one on the nicest handling boats I have ever driven. There was 3-5's out there. The boat handels the water great and turns well also.
We had some people riding in the back and I must say they felt secure with the handles, but the topic did get brought up though that if you ever hooked hard and hit one it could be ulgy. The foot rest seemed to be fine and is a great feature. Especially like the eletric ones for driver/throttleman.
All in all, the boat is great and is one of my favorites!
