I bolted on 10 MPH and didn't touch the engine!
I put the 2" shorter sportmaster lowers on my 1.36 XZ uppers and turned a 36" lab finished to 5250 RPM for a 10 mph increase over my XZ lowers with nose cones and 30" Hydromotives. Went from 101 to 111 MPH. Handled great, just took a little more finess to get it on plane.

2" lowers HERE I COME!!! I know I won't pick up those kinds of speeds, but I right now my boat runs just short of 90mph on a GPS with a stock length lower gearcase and no nosecones and I just put my order in for a pair of the IMCO 2" shorties. I'm takin' my boat to NASCAR COUNTY, NC.

Nascar County
Kaama, when are you coming down? I assume you mean Iredell County near Moorseville. (Lake Norman). There are a lot of us performance boaters in the area.

Those lowers in the correct application work incredible. I know at the Lake we picked up 7 mph with the lowers. With standard xr lowers we got 96 mph with the sportmaster lowers we hit 102 with about 300 rpms left. They are truely a great lower, but they only work with them being somewhat close to the surface. While at the lake we tried the lowers (2 inch) but added spacer to make it similar to the current x dimension and man did the boat not like it.
