gmhdfan 02-03-2003 08:23 PM

Wow!! With that many boats they are going to have to move the course out a little more. With that many boats lineing up for the start somebodys going to be inside the breakers. Who ever is working turn one will have the best seat in the house. :D If you played your cards right and were on the sky ride on the pier on the first lap, I bet you would have some great action shots.:)

WATERBOY2 02-04-2003 01:55 AM

How many teams are running Super Vee?I thought after last seasons' poor showing, that APBA would make SVL2 the top vee bottom class...makes sense.

puder 02-04-2003 02:34 AM

t2x will only be happy IF 1. everyone switches to a cat 2. if they MUST run a v there are NO steps in it 3. props are spinnin out

Yeah i've been paying attention :D

puder 02-04-2003 02:35 AM

oh yeah 4. people start getting his name right, hell even i try to spell that one right!

Rick#29 02-04-2003 05:42 AM

Hay Ryan, here three more what do you think
1]Tivoi ?
2]Dragon Power boats ?
3]Lynch Mob ?

Hauling Trash 02-04-2003 05:58 AM

I think TYPHOON going that way with a new boat

Pete B 02-04-2003 08:12 AM

what about Super Vee, Or is that done . I thought pretty poor showing last year. while on the subject what about the other classes, which one will have he most competitors???

Ryan Beckley 02-04-2003 09:01 AM

1]Tivoi ? - Tivoli is at Pier 57 for sale, would make a great SVL boat
2]Dragon Power boats ? - I think if Craig Barrie run it it will do well
3]Lynch Mob ?- These guys had the boat most of the year last year but only raced it like twice, it sure looks good , I think the Cig's are alittle off the pace.

38ZR 02-04-2003 09:38 AM

Yes Donzi will be in SVL II this year. The boat is much further along than two week as mis-stated in a previous post.

Reindl Powerboats 02-04-2003 11:53 AM

Just got back from Sweden and should have a new 38 ready for Daytona next year. The boat will be able to run in F2 or SVL II.

RLW 02-04-2003 12:03 PM

I say bag the Super Vee class.
Let SVL2 become the premier V-Bottom class and rename it "Super Vee".
F2 and SVL2 (aka. Super Vee) for twin engine V-Bottom classes.
The rest can race "P"class (which should be renamed as previously talked about).

Hey Puder,

Then it should be spelled T2x.;)

WATERBOY2 02-04-2003 12:23 PM

RLW,
I agree with you regarding Super Vee, do away with it.........SVL2 should become Super Vee Twin, and SVL1 should become Super Vee Single.I think the "P"Classes should be renamed the Sportsman Classes...just my opinion.Do you agree?

Ben@SRP 02-04-2003 03:12 PM

Ok who is going with GM Vortec 8100?

And who is going with the Mercury 525 package?

And don't you forget it..............

T2x

P.S. I have nothing against steps....they are very helpful for women in high heels getting in and out of boats at shows.

Ryan Beckley 02-04-2003 05:15 PM

My comments on the 38 Donzi were based on a conversation I had with Doug Valinitne who quoted the time when the boat was to go in the mold, maybe it was 3 weeks ago?

Thats great Cris another boat in the class,Let this become the biggest V bottom class by 2004!

RLW 02-04-2003 06:07 PM

H20 boyII,
Sportsman or maybe it should be Sportsperson?

Reindl Powerboats 02-04-2003 07:34 PM

Thanks Rick,

Maybe I could talk you into rigging one and going for that 5th World Championship in 2005. No one goes for the win like you do in the rough stuff. What is it that makes you fearless??

Chris

RacerRay 02-04-2003 07:48 PM

Ryan, Will, Leroy and the boys have been working as hard as I have ever seen them on my new 38. It is really looking good. You should stop by and check it out!

Ryan Beckley 02-04-2003 10:14 PM

Ray
I was hearing some pretty cool suff about your bottom and tab system. It sounds very cool. I saw Will last week and he made it sound like alot or work still. If there is a crew that will work non stop it is them. I'll try to get by there this week.

Ryan,

How are things going? You would have loved to have seen Ocke's Design Firm, it was incredible! We will get some PICS up when the new site is up.

Chris

BAD APPLE 02-05-2003 10:40 AM

Rick,
It is amazing that the class looks like it has grown from 3-5 boats to 15-20 to start the year. Todd and I will be in Daytona with the Miccosukee Indian Gaming Fountain.
Ryan you are right on when you said the Cigarettes are a little off the pace. I can't remember the last time they tested a boat. It is sad. They are way off the pace!! I hear all they care about is their clothes line. That really helps out performance.
I heard Brian H might buy the Tivoli Boat??

Brett F230

THEJOKER 02-05-2003 11:15 AM

yea right...Bad Brett

Brian H needs to sell a 2003 Top Gun before he can do anything. BH

Rick#29 02-05-2003 06:41 PM

Brett, talk to David Woods he sold the Tivoli 35 Fountain. The owner has not decided SVl 2 or put blower motors for poker runs.

DPT MOTORSPORTS 02-05-2003 07:03 PM

Was just wondering if anyone knew if the Utz boys were getting another 38' or maybe something bigger???

Rick was watching the Cape Cod race this weekend from Freeze Frame. Got to say how well you and your boat just eat up that rough water. Makes you think that a true 38' - 39' would be the best pick for that class.

BJM 02-05-2003 07:17 PM

15 to 20 sounds great.
To be more realistic you might get 10 in Daytona. Maybe by the worlds there will be 15 to 20. If there are 7-10 boats at each race that would be awesome. The class seems to be growing and that is great to see. You gotta love competition. Beating Rick will be very tough, good luck to everyone. Looking forward to seeing some good racing in 2003!

Rick#29 02-06-2003 05:43 AM

DPT MOtORSPORTS.Dennis the UTZ boat last year was a 35 ft Fountain. I here the new boat is a 40 ft Fountian. Also thanks for the support BJM.

THEJOKER 02-06-2003 08:26 AM

Rick:

Has anybody stepped up to the plate on your Extreme? That is one awesome boat! BH

DPT MOTORSPORTS 02-06-2003 11:56 AM

Rick,
Best of Luck to you in 2003. Like the Typhoon guys always say "Drive it like you stole it"
