OT: My friend crashes plane!!!
Strange news. My former company pilot and friend of mone crashed a twin Cessna around the Taylor Mill area (Cincinatti).
Quite a story. He is a good pilot (he walked away-that's good enough!) and a great guy. I hope all works out well for him. Dealing with the FAA is not always easy. Here is a link to the article: http://enquirer.com/editions/2003/02...necrash17.html[/URL] |
Pretty wild, that is right across the river from Cincy. I think I even know where that plant is. Glad he is okay.
|
He is bruised up and perhaps a broken collar bone, but VERY lucky!
Plane not so lucky. He broke it. |
Glad to hear he'll be ok.

The truly ironic thing about this is that his father also flies for me occasionally, an he also crashed and survived. He flew a spray plane into the ground several years ago.
I wonder how many father/son teams have crashed planes THEY were flying and can still sit around the campfire comparing war stories? I think genetics would, for me, dictate a career change. |
Glad your friend's okay...Anytime a person walks away from a plane wreck, is amazing.
Although, you're right....this is a very strange scenario. I don't think I'd fly again and test the limits, but that's me. Odds are stacking up. |
They said on the news here in Cin. that he did an incredible job
bringing it down safely. |

He wonders why I won't fly to florida to the boat show with him ! His nephew just called me today . He just got his liscence and want's to know when we are going flying !! I told him call me in 10 years ! |
I met two guys in Miami that were Cessna test pilots. They said they only fly planes that something is wrong with. I asked them which part of the brain they remove to get someone to take that job.
Glad to hear he made it through. |
