2001 F250 PSD 4x4, XLT Ext cab, 49K miles thus far, tow about 9000 pounds long distances. 3.73 rear. Check milage on every tank.
Non tow, 16.25 to 17.8, all time high was 19ish, several times.
Tow, 13.6 to 14.5
boat and truck combined on the scales is over 15K pounds.

2002 psd crew cab short box srw. 17-20 mpg non towing @ 70 -75mph. 11-13.5 mpg towing 9000# boat @ 70 -75 mph. real numbers, I have the 3.73 gears and 2500 miles on the truck. Rumor has it that mileage improves after 10,000 miles, but that will take me 3 years to find out.

2002 Ford PSD, Dually, 4 x 4, Crew Cab, 4.10 Rear End, Long Bed

I got 14mpg going to Florida running 75-80 - no boat.

I get @ 10mpg towing my Cafe Racer (9000# dry, so with trailer & fuel it's somewhere around 12000).

Im not sure how you guys are getting that kind of mileage

1997 crew cab F-250 short bed 4x4 w/ 4:10 gears
K&N Filter w/ 4" exhaust and with 65hp chip

13- 14 mpg tank to tank not towing
8-9 mpg towing my 29 Outlaw @75 mph
7-8 mpg at best towing my 38 Cig @75 mph

But what everyone has overlooked is durability

I have 202,000 miles on this truck and she runs like NEW with probably 75,000 of that towing

You wont get a gas job to last like that !!!!!!!
