:D Best thing you can do is hook your computer up to one of those indoor/outdoor timers and set it for certain times to shut off....cause if you dont your days will be like: "Oh i'll just read this next post and go to sleep" next thing ya know its 3am and your eyes are burning like you had sand thrown in them! LOL :D Welcome to the madness!

I sure hope you don't have to get up real early to go to work...:(
If you can picture a lonely figure sitting in near darkness with nothing but a desk lamp on, shadow on his face, stale hot coffee in a cup on the desk, stack of Powerboat mags to the side, bandaids on the finger tips, wrist support on the right hand & wrist, smelling of days without showering, and ever darkening teeth........Then you can picture yourself addicted to the "board"....:D Run!.....Don't do it!!......Don't read the response to your last post........Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o Welcome aboard thedonz.....;) |

Donz,
Welcome to the best board of the WWW. I have a 88 F-33 with 97 250 Merc EFI's. Not a speed demon at all. The boat is heavy and depending on how it's rigged you will be lucky to see mid 50's. Mine is a SUV that I use to run between Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands--dive, fish, screw around. Loaded down with 300 gals, gear and 4 people I see 43-45 mph at 5600 rpm, turning 14 1/4 X 19, 4 blade offshore merc props eating around 50 gph. I cruise around at 4300-4600 rpm @ 25 gph hitting mid 30's. If you lighten the boat up and don't haul around all the B.S. I do you might get mid 50's. I like the boat a lot even though its not fast. It looks fast and is very, very affordable. I cant imagine selling it, but can image buying boats in addition to it, like a 28 Pantera to have around as a Hot Rod. Brad Call me if you want to talk more about the boat. 787.525.5054 |
bsc,
looks like we have a similar setup, my boat is being repowered as we speak....from 200 Oceanrunners to 250 EFIs.....I rarely fill the tank....who needs 300 gals unless crossing to Bimini.....I usually keep at 1/3 to 1/2 full.....with 200's, three people spinning mirage plus 19's I cruised at 37 turning 4,600....don't know the fuel consumption.....top end though was low 40s....... hoping these engines will allow me to turn 21' and perhaps increase cruise to low 40s and top end to mid 50s....I'll be happy with that......you are right though, pound for pound, it is a solid hull that doesn't mind going "offshore" in "big" water, I really like the boat...............think I'll install flow meters |
