be a good idea in case you go airborne you still have h2o in you coolers. it will also keep crap from plugging them up. Cores aren't cheap.

Have an offshore pickup and sea strainer on my Whipplecharged 502 Mag. Works great.

I use one and I think it's necessary if you ever think there is a possibility that you may suck up some sand, mud or other debris. R/R

I don't run them with my coolers but its sure not a bad idea.
