Question Daytona Wet Pits

Any firm info as to where the wet pits will be for the Daytona race? Last year it sucked at the old power plant.

Also will it have restricted access or special fee to get in??

Thanks in advance..Here are a few shots of last years..

I have a stupid question.

Why do they crane all the race boats into the water? I can see the larger ones, but a F1 that is easily trailered? Provided a ramp is in the vacinity why use a crane? Is that in the rules somewhere?

At the site shown. in New Smyrna Beach, the pits were a makeshift dock installed just for the races. There is no ramp in that area. There is a ramp and regular marina between this site and Daytona whih is rumored to be used in 2003.

I think (poor memory) they used both ramp and crane at St Cloud.

#1. weights in and out..
#2. it WAY f's up the trailer.
#3. bottom inspections can be done.

you can do what ever you want but you have to be craned out after the race!
