Thats definitly the reason. I wouldn't even think of buying something that old for that price. It just seems like sooo many Apache fans love it. How much was it new? Why didn't they blueprint all of the 47's that way?

Just to keep this burning a little. I was at Bobby's shop on 188th Street back in the late 90's. ( I think it was around 97 or 98, during the "Jan Costa era"). There was a mold in there, I thought it was a 47 and they were making a Deck Plug for a 42 or 43 that he called a "Renegade". I may be off a little but I am sure they plugged it short for this model.

Later the stepped versions (New Tech) had a 43, therefore I thought that was the plug made. This of course was before the New Tech deal.

I am sure I have some pics of the mold and deck somwhere if I look. Maybe someone from Apache can confirm with Bob. The deck looked more like a 36 deck, than the original 47 decks.

I seen Kemosabe at Key West, nice boat. Agree though asking big $$$$$. Why are you not keeping the Comanche ? That boat was nice in it's day !!!
