Jon,

Thanks for the reply. And don't worry about it. If I liked it or not it was stolen so I have to replace it anyway. As for price I want to stay under $400. From what I've seen (correct me if I'm wrong) It would be hard to get a good 5 ch amp for under that? ?????

Do you recommend any other amps that would compare to Rockford in quality and performance for a 4ch amp??????
Soundstream Picasso series(found a Pic4.880 for $269)
JL
JBL

Would these be good Rockford 4 ch amps? Found them on ebay for under $250
500x 4ch will put out 62.5 watts at 4 ohms
550x 4ch will put out 68.75 watts at 4 ohms
700x 4ch will put out 87.5 watts at 4ohms

How much difference will there be between 62 watts and 87 watts? Would I really be able to tell the difference beteween the to?

Quality wise between the punch and the power series amps what is the difference??????

The amp to power my 2 10" subs (cant afford the 1000bd)
So wouldn't these be enough to power the Access Tech subs with good quality.
250M 1ch amp 250 watts at 2 ohms
301M 1ch amp 300 watts at 2 ohms
351M 1ch amp 350 watts at 2 ohms
500X 4ch amp 250 watts at 4 ohms bridged
Is there any other 1 ch amps that you would suggest????

Now remember I am going from a small 5 ch amp the was putting out
25 watts x 4 at 4 ohms
150 watts x 1 at 2 ohms

I'm lost on all this crap. Since I'm not in the business it's hard to tell what is a good deal or not.

Cool

I know you talked about a budget of $400.00 but just be carful not to under power your speakers. Remember you get what you pay for and good amps are not cheap. Stick with 4ohms and 2 amps. I have always been told that it is better to go a little over your rated watts for your speakers than to under power them. And dont forget to put a good cap on the system.

I was thinking of eather going with 2 4 ch amps. 2 550x's or 1 700x and 1 500x.

Does any one know the diff between the punch and power series?
for the speakers
550x 4ch will put out 68.75 watts at 4 ohms $205
700x 4ch will put out 87.5 watts at 4ohms $241
750x 4ch will put out 93.75 watts at 4 ohms $290

for the subs
750s 2ch will put out 187 watts at 4ohms $275
550x 4ch will put out 275 x 2 at 4 ohms bridged. $205
500x 4ch will put out 250 x 2 at 4 ohms bridged. $180

so if I go with the 2 550's $410
if i go with the 700x and 500 $420
if i go with the 750x and 750s $565

These prices are all on ebay I was just comparing.

Thumbs up

From what I am told the power series is the newer and better quailty amp.
Also check the site I mentioned in an earlier post.
750x $329.95
750s $329.95

If you are going with a small box encloser them I would go with this.

If you are going to have them in more open space then these.

I've got all the speakers and subs. Just need the amps or amp to power it.

Question

Sorry about that Russ, I forgot you already had the subs. Who makes your 10" Access Subs?
