Well, I started in private schools while living in Pennsylvania then switched to public schools after moving to Toms River, NJ. Graduated from Toms River North High School, 1974, home of the Mariners.
My parents did try to put me in a NJ military school but I purposely flunked the entrance exam. Several cadets told me it wasn't the place to be. They all had bad experiences.
Beyond that, it's all (like Bigwavz said) Hard Knock U.
Not really. I went to General Technical Institute, Linden, NJ. Came out a certified welder (Stick, TIG, MIG).
Also went to:
Camden County Vocational School for machinist apprentice (Journeyman Machinist, 4 year course).
Brick Computer Science, Brick, NJ for electronic technician.
OJT on hydraulics, electro-machanical systems and environmental stress testing (thermal and vibration tests).
