dyno 03-21-2003 09:05 AM

Jim I cant wait... this has got to be the longest winter in history.. that is the channel in Holland last night. You sell that AT?

dyno 03-21-2003 09:09 AM

Scott you suck! Hey my wifes Grandmother lives in Jupiter heading down there next November great place to live! You didn't have a different screen name before did you? I sold some valve covers to a guy in Jupiter last winter was that you?

BLee 03-21-2003 09:09 AM

Beetle Crack??? "Yo where you from??" "I'm from the crack of this beetle *****!"

dyno 03-21-2003 09:11 AM

Thats code for Battle Creek Michigan....Jafo does alot of business there.

BLee 03-21-2003 09:15 AM

LOL thats a funny funny nickname for it.

ScottB 03-21-2003 10:05 AM

Dyno, i used to be hanna.
I love the valve covers and I went out that inlet in 3-5's on Sunday. When you come to Jupiter, we will have a drink and go for a ride

fred 03-21-2003 10:42 AM

Neat picture Dyno

KAAMA 03-22-2003 03:58 PM

I drove by the DNR launch today in Holland and they don't have the docks in yet, but I'm sure they will be in by the 1st of April. Crazyhorse was anxious to rattle the neighborhood with his supercharged big blocks but it's only about 35* out today.

Anyway, it won't be long now gang!!! :)

traviss 03-22-2003 04:41 PM

Kaama.....Crazy is running blowers?

I will be ready soon .. I am still waiting for my f@&kin cylinder heads

KAAMA 03-22-2003 06:03 PM

I thought Crazy's super chargers were common knowledge with at least us Michigan Yankee folk by now? :p

Crazyhorse 03-22-2003 09:25 PM

Yup. See this big red "S" on my chest? That stands for "SUPERCHARGED". yeah, if we get a fair-weather day this week I just might take it out for a nice easy run.

traviss 03-22-2003 10:13 PM

I didn't have a clue what crazy had running under the hatch. I haven't been reading oso much these days, cause most of it is a fruity circus ride these days

So crazy.. what kinda recipe you have under that hatch?

kaama... Where I have been?.... I have been cooking up my own recipe ;)

truer words were never written.

welcome back vato!

Waterfoul 03-22-2003 11:26 PM

Traviss, they are blown 509's. 625 hp each. All the "good" stuff on the inside. Built by Lightening Marine on the east coast somewhere. They look nice too!!!

traviss 03-23-2003 09:30 AM

Thanks for the info foul.. Looking forward to seeing it and running with you guys this summer :)

dyno 03-23-2003 10:49 AM

Daves going to have to wait a while yet the west end of lake Mack is froze in yet.....you can Idle around the launch if you like!!!

Crazyhorse 03-24-2003 08:38 AM

Actually, Blue Lightning has them listed on their website as 650 horsepower, but Dave Dall said 625 so we'll go with the lower number.

Shane 03-24-2003 08:51 AM

Lake George still has PLENTY of ice fishernman on it! We will be a while. That'sokay, more time to get the boat in tip top shape!

Tinkerer 03-24-2003 07:33 PM

DON-- I see you got the new AVATAR working. Making them small like that isn't fun. I wish we could use something in the area of 200 x 100 or even 150 x 75 (hey this is a boat forum- boats are longer than they are tall.)

dyno 03-24-2003 07:42 PM

Thanks Steve you the man!!!

Just Say N2O 03-24-2003 09:13 PM

Crazy,

(With calendar in hand), How much notice do you need, and what sort of cost would be associated with begging a ride in this awesome new missle? Will you be keeping the same slip? I hope so. Life on E-Dock just wouldn't be the same without you and Barb.

Still waiting for the ride in Fred "I-have-a-boat-longer-than-your-dock"'s 40' Excalibur Hawk. Could be a great summer (assuming it starts sometime within the next 3 months.)

I have a lot of work left on the Wellcraft. Replaced the harmonic dampener on the starboard engine, and replaced the upper shaft/gear set in that transmission. Still need to redo the bow pulpit, create new wood for inside the cockpit, rebuild the starboard carb, and figure out why the port engine knocks.

Probably would be easier to put it back together, sell it, and buy yours.

Crazyhorse 03-25-2003 08:32 AM

Bill, I don't know what we're doing as far as a slip for the Searay yet. We may opt to put it in a brokerage slip over by Rd's office. It will be in the water as soon as the weather breaks though.

KAAMA 03-25-2003 08:39 AM

Crazyhorse

Crazy, thanks for your help changing out the races/bearings on my boat trailer axles bro! She's ready to roll now---it's like I could almost push my boat down the road now! :)

dyno 03-25-2003 08:58 AM

what the Heck Mark you a candy boy or what?Runnin a yella boat and you cant get your hands dirty! I think Autumn can change my bearings out and she's a 16 month old girl!!!!wuss.......and to think I put you up a at the level of Kahuna of cubic inch.....now your back to secretary boy

Crazyhorse 03-25-2003 11:20 AM

KAAMA, no problem. Thanks for the help.
Barb and I had Crazy Horse at the boat ramp yesterday for a noon ride but there were 3-footers with white caps on Lake Mac and no docks in the launch ramp yet. So, it was back to the barn until the next good weather day.

Tinkerer 03-25-2003 09:31 PM

ONLY 3 footers and you put it back on the trailer. HOW BIG IS THAT NEW BOAT. IT ISN'T YOUR SEARAY AND IT WON'T BREAK IN 3 FOOTERS

Crazyhorse 03-26-2003 08:37 AM

Without a dock in at the launch ramp I was hesitant to launch with the wind right on the stern. Especially being the first time for Barb and me. You need to remember, I haven't had a trailer boat in 15 years. I don't want to look like a MOE-RON.

Just Say N2O 03-26-2003 09:08 AM

Good Call. Decisions made with strong EGO (Evil Going On) involvement, usually result in disasterous conclusions.

dyno 03-26-2003 09:26 AM

Docks are in as of yesterday....now then there is the ice issue!!!

Crazyhorse 03-26-2003 11:16 AM

Is that at the DNR, don? Have you taken a ride to Dunton Park to see if theirs are in?

dyno 03-26-2003 11:17 AM

Yes dave the DNR's are in! I wouldn't use dutton there are prop killers there!

Waterfoul 03-26-2003 07:07 PM

I've been using the Dutton Park ramp for about 8 years dyno, and I've never hit anything, touched the bottom, nothing. If you back off your trailer, spin her around within the width of the ramp (it's a WIDE ramp), and head straight out for the big, huge green can you will have NO trouble. About half way to the can it will drop off to 5+ feet in a hurry. It's about 4 feet to that point. Never had any trouble there.

In fact, the only time I've ever hit the bottom on Lake Mac, was just out from the DNR ramp, right near the gas dock at Anchorage. But that was when the water was a little lower and it was 3 feet going thru there and I wasn't paying attention to my depth gauge (why, it should have been 5+ there). Oh well, a little mud never damaged a prop. Not a scratch.

Tinkerer 03-26-2003 08:18 PM

MIKE-- You don't realize one important fact--- DON's and MY boat draw 4 feet with the drives down. Yours probably draws 2 feet.

KAAMA 03-26-2003 10:15 PM

I have launched from the Dutton Park ramp several times just as the 'Foul has described without hitting anything. I did just as Mike said by turning around within the width of the ramp area and shoot straight out towards the bouy. My cousin launches his 32' Baja from Dutton a lot as well. However, I must admit that I have been using the DNR launch ramp more lately than Dutton.

dyno 03-27-2003 07:10 AM

use what you like and may the force be with you!

Eternal Warrior 03-27-2003 07:58 AM

Hey guys. My wife and I have started taking the trip across the state and putting in at Lake Mac (Kollen Park mostly). That 2-1/2 hour drive each way makes for a long day. We'd spend the night on the boat, but I'm not sure where I can leave the vehicle overnight.
