MY .O2 Worth
I'd get a twin engine with # 6 drives - big power. XR's will fail sooner or later and the 3rd motor is triple trouble. Just ask Tonto off this board about plowing up The Keys. Outerlimits is an awesome boat - BH

But to go 100+ with twin's I'am going to need 1000hp or more then the motors will need a lot more hourly work don't you think? I have heard that this boat was hard on the center drive untill they put XR's on it. But where I boat I'll have to try to air it out. I was looking for a 37 or 42 with twin stagered but all the one's out there are a lot more $$$ than this one. What about just putting some Bmaxes on it they should handle 700 hp fine.

That is definitly true. Is the bottom stepped on the 97? I've just heard too many friends *****in and moanin on a big weekend because one of the motors or drives is acting up with triples.
You could put the IMCO extreme drives on it. They can handle around 1000hp. Thats probably the best drive without goin to 6's.
Really nice boat!

I'm a telling ya !
I would go with # 6's - twin staggered- seriously. You obviously have the cash to get a boat like this - take it a little further and you'll be happy in the long run. Triples add weight also. I'd get a bad ass 37 with 6's. A guy on my lake has a 37 with 900 sc Mercs - claims 105 mph - I'll buy that - BH

Yes it's steped, I am a ASE master tech and now own a motorcycle repair shop. I hate working on my stuff but if I had to I know what to do, and I carry spare MSD boxes dist, and I might start bringing valve spring's with me if I buy this. So the little crap that go's wrong shouldn't stop me. I just don't want to spend more time whenching than boating. I hear it has a spare XR for it so I think I would have It beefed up and then just do the same to the others as they need it. They say it is just hard on the center drive? The main thing is NOT running in the middle or back in poker runs. What type of problems are people with tripp's having is it just keeping them in tune or ???.
