Question Engine compartment paint?

I just recently pulled the stock motor out of my Velocity to prepare the engine compartment for a new motor hydraulic steering and 280 K planes. I have also removed the flooring on either side of the motor and the carpet from the sides of the hull. I want to smooth everything up and paint the area before I start the assembly process, so the question is what kind of paint does everyone use in the engine compartment?

I used Interlux Bilgekote in white. It seems to work well and gives a nice semi gloss finish. How it holds up over time we will see but this is what it's made for.

Pretty easy no mixing no harsh or dangerous fumes. Pop th lid and paint. I got mine from www.defender.com

Do you use a brush or is it in a spray can?

AWL-GRIP IS GREAT, IT CAN BE SPRAYED OR BRUSHED ON.
AND IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STAIN.
IT IS ALSO VERY VERY DURABLE.

Brushing is the prefered method for the typical do it yourselfer OSO member.
Bilgekote is also a great product. I have seen the results and it looks good.
