Unhappy stop the drum row

things just didn't go so well. It started out with rain as we were close to Charlotte.
It was a very muggy humid overcast day. No sunshine. It did stop raining though. We put about 50 gallons of racing fuel in the boat and headed to the lake.
This was the first water test for the boat.
The mechanic (Terry) couldn't make it. His mother had her second heart attack and he was with her in the hospital. Terry was nice enough to call us and talk to us a little at the hospital.
Of course with all major face lifts their is going to be a few bugs crawl out of the cracks.
We were well supported with a group of guys to help dial in the Baja.
It was just too big of a hill to capture on the first water testing. They starting doing the inital tuning then we took the boat out. The ECM's were too rich. It didn't have the power and the mechanic said we needed to call it quits and send the ECM's back and reprogram them. They had turned the fuel pressure down to it's min. and the plugs were still running too rich.
So we took the big beast back shop and we went back home empty handed.
I pretty much new that their would be a good chance that we wouldn't be taking the boat home. I would like to say thanks to all of the people that came out on a Easter weekend for this first water test. It was a great effort on their part.
Stay tuned. As I hear more I'll relay the news.
I was impressed with the Whipple system.
