I called Keith (owner) and he said their was a possiblity the ECM's would be in today. If so he was going up to Charlotte and do water tests.
BBBBBBBBBBBBBut I haven't heard from Keith since I called him at lunch. So no news is probably bad news. Weather is looking good for the weekend. My older sister has a 50th birthday tomorrow so I am going up to surprise here. I called Keith just a while ago and the parts are in:D .
The ECM's are in!!!!!!!!! Keith will have pulleys from Whipple. They are going to also try the 5.5 to 6 lb pulleys along with the 7.5 to 8 that they dynoed the motor on. Keith is bring some labbed 30's by Mercury and they have some stock 30's. They bad thing is my 48 yr old ass won't be there to experience it :mad: Saturday is test day! |

I talked with Keith sat. and they will not be testing this weekend. Parts are in but have to be put back on and set-up. Maybe next weekend will be the one...:frog:

They got a new dual pyrometer in and it didn't fix the problem. They found out that they had sent the wrong style of thermocouple wire with the kit.
Anyway the pryrometer is working and Keith is going to Charlotte in the morning to do more water testing. Everybody keep their fingers crosssed in hopes of the ECMs will be right. Maybe we will have a winner by the end of the week and we can put this contest to bed :crazy: Keith said he would call me tomorrow for an update. As soon as I hear anything I'll let you all know, Mike. |
BET they end up with 28 props a buddy of mine on lake cumberland has a 36 with 509's and 250 blowers and he settled on 28's 30's were to much for his battleship
