We lost power for about 8 hours today because of the ice storm. I had to get into the boat so that I could plug a power cord into the inverter to power the furnace in the house. I then parked my diesel pick up next to the boat to charge the batteries. Hey it worked great and the house never got cold at all.

Let's see that in August when it says 132 Deg with 0 MPH winds and chickens are blotting & blowing up everywhere! You do still have chickens roaming in the streets in Austin don't you.

While we will have temps above 100 for twenty (or more) days this summer, it just makes us go to the lake sooner and drink more.
Plus, it makes those 70 degree midnight cruises very nice!
I'll take 100 degrees days in the summer over ice storms in April ANYTIME!
