a few months ago yachtauctions had a 1990 38 Scarab no engines or drives, I am sure you could have stole it. I would keep my eye open and maybe call some insurance companies, to see about a theft recovery.

The trailer isn't in very good shape, it's not much newer than the boat.

I know of a guy locally that has 32 Fountain that is just a bare hull on a trailer.
It needs complete rigging , holes cut in the transom, everything.
Supposedly he has all the parts to rig it, bolsters, gauges etc.
If you have any interest I can make a couple of calls and try to find out more. Let me know
