for a boat that you can turn it as hard as you want, on the 42 sec part of the video, your driver just about is in your lab thats a little scary good thing he wasnt ejected

with the props and set up we ran in that race the boat really wants to snap on us....not slide out...but the speed we can no carry is very impressive...the next 4 laps all had faster lap times. last year if it was calm the 57 fountain had one up on the donzi...like steve simon said...that's not the case anymore! REALLY looking forward to some rough water!

Don't know if the rules have changed since I was racing but in the past you were not allowed external navigation help. Sounds like one of your crew was navigating from the shore on your lap count. In the past that was illegal.

Sweet video Joe, Call me about the new sponsor, they are excited to get on a bunch of boats in the APBA

crew can tell you lap times...they CAN NOT spot for you....like tell you to move over 50 feet and give 'em some dirty water...also if someone has to navigate for you from shore with only 2 miles between bags....you got problems!!LOL

all the teams know what the other teams are running for lap times.

one more thing...communication from race boat to aircraft or crew to aircraft is not allowed...PERIOD...with the only exception being safety emergency information...this will result in a 3 min penalty for outside assistance...shore crew to race boat is TOTALLY allowed...well as long as it's sportsmen like...

In the event of a barrel roll, those "quarter canopies" will snap off and become deadly projectiles. That is the mechanism that killed Kevin Brown and Jack Carmody among others. The Donzi cockpit format should not be confused with a safety cockpit as it meets none of the Lavin Guidelines.

Your boat is fast and your results are good, it would be a shame to ignore the primary priority......... Your safety.

T2x...we feel the DOZNI is a VERY safe boat...bobby fisher went over at serious speed this past weekend with VERY little damage to the hull and NONE to the canopies...DONZI really goes the extra mile with safety....i guess you would have to see how they are installed...the Kevlar crash boxes that surround are feet are a huge bonus as well...please feel free to come climb in our boat inside and out...phil and i have been in some real death traps!!LOL...i have the scars to prove it...

jack was a good fried of the family...as is chris and his great wife!...look for hidden agenda next season. chris deserves a lot of credit.

safety is a very large part of our program!...from my helmet being custom made for ME...seats that are made and fine tuned to each of us,,,to having spare jackets if for some reason they get damaged....

I was in the Pace Boat in THE 2000 Worlds when the Eliminator SCL Inboard barrell rolled. The non Lavin stanard 1/4 canopies severed the guy's legs. It was a pretty ugly scene. Be safe Joey we only wish the best for you , it seems your a little upbeat about your boat , etc. Anything can happen out there as we all know- BH

BH,,,we know anything can happen out there...that's why we test, test, and test....for whatever we think will be thrown at us...we just do our best and then try to do just a little more. how many teams do you think showed up in st.cloud and daytona that got in their boats for the first time with a new set-up...no testing and or development...yes,, we are all excited and "upbeat" here to see our hard work pay off. i could not ask for a better crew!!!!i'm really proud of them, the people at DOZNI and our sponsors that put a ton of extra long hours into our program.
