On Lake Conroe this past weekend at the Shell and the Diamond Shamrock on the water... dock price was $1.31 for 87 and $1.41 for 93. That's cheaper than on the street here in Clear Lake for my truck. It was the same cheap price on the street side at Conroe also!

LMAO----The price of Fun

How'd the prop testing go???

The 24 Bravo1 prop should help a little with fuel consumption. It cruised at about 4mph faster at the same rpm, if I recall correctly. I think the 23 M+ was about 36mph @ 3600 and the B1 was over 40.

Well it didn't. Mike could not get the GPS to work so we just took her out and ran her a little.
I believe the prop testing has been rescheduled for Saturday.

Street
$1.49 to $1.59 for 87
$1.69 to 1.79 for 92
Marina
2.08 for 89
2.19 for 93

That is odd, cause Va is USUALLY one of the lower gas price states.
I guess this fall, we'll hear the petrolium companies talk about record profits "again!"

In my post above, I suspected we'd hear about record profits in the fall. Well I just found this:

Canada's nine biggest energy companies are headed for a $2.7-billion windfall as soaring commodity prices hand the oil patch eye-popping profits in the first quarter.

Oil and natural gas prices have spiked sharply over the past three months and are substantially higher than a year ago, propelled by labour strife in Venezuela, worries about the impact of an assault on Iraq and the chilly weather that hung over much of eastern North America this winter.

Now, energy companies are about to reap billions in bounty, starting with Imperial Oil Ltd., which reports its first-quarter earnings tomorrow. Imperial and Canada's other eight top oil and gas companies are projected to report profits -- excluding one-time charges and the effects of currency fluctuations -- of $3.7-billion, up from $930-million in the first quarter of 2002.

Wow! I think Parkside still wants about $1.99 for 87. Might be worth it to get someone to haul my boat up to Conroe just to get gas. It's $1.39 on the street in my part of town.
