i've heard some nasty rumors that there will be some new boats at LOTO this summer with super big power!!! hmmmm......
judging from last weekend, I can already agree
Anyone wanting a good view of the action as they bar-b-que, stay at a condo around the 9 - 15 mile markers. Well, probably anyplace would be fine!!

Yup! The Harbor Hop is kind of a local poker run with almost all of the on-the-water businesses participating.
They have a Harbor Hop poker run in the spring and in the fall.
As for the PRA Poker run, and any other that might have been wanting to come to the Ozarks...
A couple years ago, Poker Runs America had submitted their regatta permit for a poker run a couple of months after I had filed mine for the Ozarks APBA Offshore race event. While the water patrol was all for allowing the permit for a sanctioned offshore race, I did hear some of the discussion of the water patrol officers having concerns of such a large organized poker run. It sounded like they were a little concerned with a large unorganized group of 100+mph boats, all coming down the lake at one time, much like an uncontrolled offshore race.
If ANY organization is considering applying for such an event permit through the Missouri Water Patrol in the near future, (which must be done for any on-the-water event), please feel free to contact me, as I may be able to help with logistics and other "legal" matters.

Gordo,
We are in the beginning stages of getting together a "Cure for Paralysis" poker run or harbor hop, which ever will fly with the authorities. We were trying to get it together for this year but it will be totally ready for 2004. Already have a few sponsors on board, just need to spread the word and get the OK. Everyone is encouraged to let me know their thoughts.
