Phastang, It's a 1999 with a factory big block and would suggest 4x4 for the purpose of slippery ramps. Combined weight truck, trailer, boat is 18,780 lbs without drives & half tanks in the cig. 180 gallon fuel capacity in this boat so I'm sure with drives and full of fuel your looking at over 19,000 lbs. I have no problems pulling it. The only thing I do on a steep ramp is put it in 4 wheel low which puts alot less strain on the drive train. Before putting the vehicle in park, set the emergency brake 1st to avoid that nasty noise when you take it out of park.
And most of all congrats on your purchase and best of luck. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Got any pics ?

Hey Birdog, I saw your boat on the way down to Norris Lake a week and a half ago on I-75. I had to go 85-90 to catch up to look at it. Looks great...
