Hauled My Cary
Hauled my Cary 50 to the marina after 2 years of rebuilding the engines, transmissions and drives (all 4) and it floats !!! at least it was still floating when I left, hope it still is this week end when I can go back. Had only one problem and that was the sea strainer for an a/c unit rusted the bottom out and was filling the boat with water. Its an stainless steel unit? I'm not sure what would have caused this but I welded it up and will reinstall this week end.

It has 454's + .030 dart merlin heads (mild porting) dyno'd at 485-505 hp. Had to keep them tame for long range cruising (like I can afford the fuel) Huber 925 tranny's Trs drives. I have it slip'ed in Grand Haven Mi. on Lake Michigan, I would have loved to put it Gun Lake but I don't think the association would have liked the wake to well !!!

We'll have to look for you this summer. We are ther often with Waterfoul. Man that engine room (it is not a compartment with that much room) is as clean as new....better I would say. I do think I see a sparkplug wire out of place and maybe a speck of dust on the air cleaner. I couldn't have done better myself and you can bet no one sweats the details like a job done yourself. Great job. How much fuel does it hold?
