When it seemed like they were bouncing the car off the rev limiter, it very well may have been a studder box. The driver can set the studder box to pretty much any RPM they choose for launch. If you ever go to the drag strip, any car that is a serious runner will sound like that pre-launch. I'm not defending the guys in the video, that crap wouldn't last 5 minutes in the streets of Detroit

Yeah, it's a two-step rev limiter with a "launch" setting. That was nowhere near redline. Sounds like he should've spent the money on rods.
At least they have an oilpan full of parts to hang on a "hero" necklace...

What is it with Eclipse owners??? First car that tried to race me when I got my car was an Eclipse. (Even they laughed as I left them.)
Then, about 3 am last Sunday night/Monday morning on the interstate, another Eclipse pulled up next to me and wanted to race.
