Seems like everyone has forgotten that the Great Lakes are more than just the west end of Erie and the west shore of Michigan. The most beautiful great lakes boating is without question in Georgian Bay. 30,000 islands, remote northern towns, the south end of the bay(Honey Harbour)and its beaches,Midland,Penatangs and Victoria Harbour all cater to the power boater.
Just take a look here http://www.georgianbay.ca/gbaimages/index.htm

Ok now that we are off the subject. My wife is a huge fan of Rodrigue paintings. I bought her a book, it is all I could afford.

And part of the Georgian Bay (just west of it) is the North Channel of Lake Huron- one of the five top fresh-water cruising destinations in the world. I have spent every summer of my life on Manitoulin Island. Cut the gap between Drummond and Cockburn Islands from Mackinac, and you're into the most stunning water in the north country. DO NOT miss this during your lifetime.....

I hope to have a chance to visit the North Channel and the Georgian Bay, how far of a cruise is it from Mackinac to the cut between Drummond and Cockburn

Traverse City rocks!
We should plan an OSO get together for the air show. And Northpoint is one of the nicest little towns youll ever find.
If you do go to South Haven, let me know. We are there all summer.

Everyone needs to hook up for the Northern Michigan fun run! Maybe next year someone can put one together for Georgian Bay.....

I have to agree after going for a cruise and seeing a bear
in the rocks it, and all the little coves to anchor in it has to be one of the best spots for a trip.
