You were on the right track when you considered Hallett, but stopped short. Look at their new 260AC (stands for Art Carlson). Its a very large open bow, has sponsons like a cat, insures live a V and got a great write up in Powerboat. Check their website and see if this new model is there. If not, call (626) 989-8844 and ask for the brochure on it. I've driven it often and its a great family boat...

I hear ya Gordo!!! My '99 25 AT with a 502 MAG MPI with Gil exhaust and a K&N arrestor will do 71.4 mph (GPS). Ran a worked 26 4 blade last week!! 1/2 tank of fuel and my fat a$$!!:D

Love the solid feel of this boat and the great classic offshore ride!!!

I'm in the same position, I've owned 4 Baja's, and live in north TX, I looked at the warlocks before, the beam is to narrow, I'm leaning toword a 27-29 Fountain or a Nordic 28

Hey guys, I originated this post. I have not responded back in a while. I was leaning towards a Warlock, but ended up purchasing a low hour 2002 '28 Nordic Heat. The boat fits me perfect. Looks, room, ride. I looked at quite a few boats before buying this and I am very happy with my purchase.

Thanks Mike,

I have not taken any pictures of it yet. I know I need to dish out the $19, just lazy up till this point. I bought the thing fairly close to you, Sarasota. As for the engine, I have a 496HO. I dont know GPS, but Speedo, with 1/2 fuel, me, wife I have done 74. How that translates in GPS, your guess is as good as mine.

I will upgrade the membership and post pictures soon.

I just had to buy a new tow vehicle. I had a Hummer H2 and thought the thing would tow fine, but what a DOG, especially when you get into some hills. I just bought a new Dodge with a Cummins HO. Overkill I know, but maybe when I decide to get a bigger boat, I will not have to buy another truck.
