I received the following e-mail.

Anyone see a scam here or a disadvantage of buying this version from the company??

Its the OEM verion. You would normally get this preinstalled in a Dell or something. I will probably work but you can register it so you can't get updates or support.

Full retail is around 475.00.
If you're a student you can pick it up for around 275.00.

I agree with Ron P, it was part of someone's bundled software.

OEM software is alright depending on whether you care about updates and the techie support. Not that it's legal or anything...
