You're from Jersey if:

Sharkey mentions your town in his "You're from Jersey if:" post:

You know that people from North Jersey go to Seaside Heights, and people from Central Jersey go to Belmar and people from South Jersey go to Wildwood. It can be no other way.
And yes, theyre all true :D :D :D

How about just knowing what pork roll is???

the problem is...when you jerseyites come to New York and try to navigate our "circles"... :)

there are two in my town an inevitably someone with Jersey plates is sitting in it...letting every single car get in...

You must yield to the vehicle IN the circle when you come to New York...please pass it on...:D :D :D

LOL! Up until the last few years I had to search high and low for pork roll! I would tell my mother to bring some when she came down to visit. Try to get good subs and pizza around D.C. NOT

Wow brings back memories. Central Jersey here, Metuchen spent every summer at the "Shore". the Stone Pony in Asbury, the Osprey in Manasquan, the nightclubs on "35".
Englishtown was Raceway Park, wednesday night Grudge night, raced a Kawasaki Z-1R 10.8 sec street bike, that was fast back then.
Itialian hot dogs, which you can't get anywhere else. Learning to shoot Pool in Steve Mizeraks Pool hall and how to loose money to innocent looking old guys that really know how to shoot pool.
Going to try to make it up for the June 1 races, lived in Brick before moving to Florida and now Virginia. Maybe I'll see yous guys there.
Anybody remember the Jersey Shore Beer Bike marathon? 10 miles and 14 bar stops, had to drink beer at each and get stamped then on to the next. Too many crashes from drunk riders falling off ended it after a couple years, but what a great event it was. Great party at last stop.

Remember `Mr Steak`
Wow, that goes back a ways. My grandmother would always take me there when i was a kid. They used to give the kids ridiculous little yellow and red plastic rings with a cow head on them. I must have had a drawer full. We would always stop there after going shopping 1/2 mile more down the road. Shopped at Two Guys, of course.:D

You're know you're from NJ and OLD if:!

There were more Stewart's than McDonald's.

You remember "Drink A Toast"????? I'll be real happy if you do!

Real diners

AM Radio: Jean Shepard, Bob n' Ray, Bernard Meltzer, Rambling with Gambling, Jerry Blavett ( the geater with the heater). Wonderama, Palasades amusment park, The Diving Horse...

"Killies" are what you use for bait.

Frozen Custard

Avon "Skin So Soft" to repel greenheads.

Planes towing advertising banners in front of the beach.

Caution, Roads being oiled.

Any More?????

Any More????????

PhantomChaos 05-12-2003 11:46 PM

I don't know ANY of that stuff.........whoda known? Ya otta get some stuff that I can answer! Like what will wash the sphagetti stains out of my boat towels? :D :D :D

Ron P 05-12-2003 11:59 PM

Sean, Joisey is the home of the traffic circle...and diners.

Yes the planes still fly banners over the beach and what else will catch a Fluke but a Killie and strip of squid.

American, It was nice to talk with you today. You must be old, like me, cause I listened to Jean Sheppard as a kid too.

Yup, Joisey ain't so bad, we just live in the shadow of Manhattan.

And Phantom, any self respecting Jersey Girl can get a spaghetti sauce stain out on the first try. Except for wife beaters, they require some stains. Just ask Too Old.
