Met with our sponsor and posted our 2003 schedule in February. It is available on www.nautiboats.com under the Let's Go Racing section. Not scheduled for any more APBA until the World's but am looking into adding a few just for fun!

David Woods is a great guy and needs to come back to APBA Offshore! No blower belts slinging off in Super Cat! BH

You all know the reason for the low number of boat entries.
A -All wise
P-personal
B-boating
A- association
Punishing Ft. Myers for not coming up with the increased tariff two years ago and saw that we could draw at least 40-50 boats with SBI. We published our date to early based on the response of racers telling us that they "wanted" to race in FM. That allowed the SBI schedule to be Boxed in. That's business and sad to see years of building sponsorship and going from mud fields to a really super dry pits party atmosphere to this.

You're right - David is a great guy. Actually talked with him about this topic recently and we both agreed that there is no comparison between the two classes. Like many others - he enjoys the harder acceleration and faster speeds associated with unlimited motors. Sounds like it simply boils down to a matter of preference.

Thumbs up the truth

I'd say more like:

JOHN let em cheat and the racers got tired of it! SBI was filling their niche' until the SCL Inboard ordeal happened. One of my best friends was a huge SBI advocate/ racer until he never got payed from their last race and was told to go race somewhere else when he called and asked for his money! He also got tired of racing 600hp's in F2. Just the facts - BH

You're telling me that a multi million dollar outfit like Pier 57 didn't have a spare blower belt? That sucks!!!

That would have made the race more fun to watch. I didn't even go to the parade because the dry pits were so empty. We need to beef up SBI, I "HATE" APBA.

If you want the truth , the boat dissapeared after a race, when it was to be Ispected.
