Magic Powerboats
#2

They are built in lake Havasu City. They are not a bad looking boat but I have not been in one on the water. I have crawled around in one at the factory and it was nice. Go to the HotBoat.net board and ask on there. They are more popular at the west Coast lakes.

Ken Brown bought the Aranow hulls back in the very early 90's and started manufacturing the 34 and 39 foot models. They caught on like wild fire around 92, 93 and 94. They were the hottest thing since sliced bread and were a popular hull. Around 96 they started to slow up in sales and combined with the economy could not keep up with the big boys. I believe they were soaked up by Sleekcraft four years ago and they have kept the Magic name. You still see them around but the popularity of the boat has dwindled, especially for the ocean. I have driven Rock Harder (39 footer with 1,000 blown engines with #3A's) in the Catalina Ski Race and the boat ran real good. It was originally Lee Roy Schneider's boat. I believe the Board God now owns it and is part of his charity collection for sale.
Good luck.

One man merged both companies. I have been to the factory and they put out an impressive river product. We do not see many running offshore here in CA but they are all over Havasu. I havent heard much about them sence Keith Sayer left.
