Default Insurance For Go-fast's

Just got my insurance quote for my 41 Apache this year. It went up $1000.00. When you start checking around for other companies, they don't want to handle anything older then 10 years, especially with the speeds these boats will do.
ANYBODY HAVE A GOOD INSURANCE COMPANY IN MIND !!

I've tried several. I thought the $1777.00 I was billed seemed high for an '88 Bullet. Quotes have been in the $22-2400.00 range. Some with less coverage than I already have. So I fed-exed the premium which is due tomorrow for a boat that probably wont get wet this year due to lack of engine and $$ tied up in another Bullet project. If I did'nt renew my existing policy, time comes when I do it will be at the quotes mentioned above. All I can recomend is look in back of powerboat magazine and start calling. "911" is the reason I was told this is the way it is.

Blackadar Marine did me right 3500.00 on a 2004 30 Spectre Cat O/B. Everyone else told me it would be cancelled when it gets to the underwriters.

Ins is going to keep going up from now on with High Power boats they are sticking it to Us owners because of the serious claims over the past few years and that 9/11 thing has ruined all INS co's

Georges,
attorneys arent the problem its knuckeheads that go out and buy 100mph boats as their first or second boat and then wreck. That is what drives premiums up. They are looking at the likelyhood of a claim being made while owning a particular type boat.

Like in any field there are good & bad ones but suing Oreo and McDonald cause an attorney wants publicity and convices some no self control slob that he'll make a buck does not necessarly put your profession in the best of light.
