Next Sunday OPA will hold it's first race of the season in front of the Point Pleasant and Bay Head beaches. The race starts at 1pm an will only feature 5 classes. P1 - P5. We anticipate about 40 teams showing up and since they will be spread through only 5 classes, we expect some great competition.
Viewing is excellent from the beach and we could still use a few more patrol boats on the course. If your interested in getting a front row seat on the race course and helping keep things safe, send me a PM. Otherwise, join the mailing list at www.njoffshore.com and you'll get updates about all the racing at the Jersey Shore. We'll have Outer37's new 42 GTX as a Pace boat along with No Discipline and Johnny O's new 42 Ol, I believe it's a GTX too. These will serve as our three pace boats for the day. The Dry Pits are at Windward Beach in Bricktown. The boats will be on display and testing in the river on Saturday. See antiques like Dry Martini and the brand new 38 Bad Boy which will be running in P2. May 31 - June 1 Brick NJ June 21 - 22 Seaside Heights NJ July 19 - 20 Atlantic City NJ Aug 14 - 15 Point Pleasant Beach NJ Sept 6 - 7 Liberty State Park NJ Sept 27 - 28 Chesapeake Challenge Come watch the Jersey Boyz do their thing. Then hang around for a week and enjoy Skaterfest. It's all right here at the Jersey shore. Who's in? |

Best of luck to all next weekend!!! The lineup sounds good and the venue is the greatest! I'm trying to get up there but scheduling is tough at this point, should be a fantastic weekend.
To any and all interested in racing in Maryland-stay tuned to www.cbpba.com we will be posting all the details as soon as they become available. Doug, I'll keep in touch and let you know as soon as I do. |
Ron,
We will pray for some big water for you! I mean, with only 15 foot waves predicted, you can use all the help you can get! :D :D :D |
Right now, I'd just take a prediction of no rain for next weekend. Once I see sun in the forecast, I'll get greedy and ask for big water.
|
Ted,
Were is the tentative race course? |

At least it doesn look like it's gonna rain. Probably a day like today. It did say it might be a bit more windy.

Go to the Manasquan inlet, watch the boats go out, and then walk a couple hundred yards to "Jenkinsons Pavilion" to watch the race. The Race is right in front of the boardwalk/Jenkinsons. |
