I bought a new laptop today and i see there are several mapping software platforms that support GPS. I looked at the Microsoft Streets and Trips but it only updates every 15 seconds. The DeLorme software updates every 1 second. Its also $60 more than the Microsoft so I'm looking for feedback if its worth the extra coin. We plan on travel this summer and I would like to use it on the boat if either is fairly detailed for waterways. I know its not a chart but a nice backup to help navigate.
