Fountain on the rocks

If the boat was going 50-60, would it not have gone further up & over the rocks?

Judging by the short chop and color of the water, I would think the boat was already decelerating through the shallow water before it made it to land.

Also, from the angle it kooks like he saw sumptin and was trying the turn and went up ata 45* angle.

Glad no injuries were reported..

I was told he realized his mistake just before hitting the rocks and tried to reverse

A 2001 35 Fountian did the same thing on Lake Murray SC a couple of years ago. Guy was running to fast at night and hit the dam.

When whe got the boat backed he named it

That pic is from an incident that happen about 3 or 4 years ago.
Two guys from Wisconsin were on their way down to Indiana and did not see the break wall in Chicago.
Tried to turn at the last second but still hit and rolled it over.
Driver was ok but the passenger got hurt badly.
