Had a little time on my hands last night and went a custom car audio store but it was closed-went to HH Greg. What useless help those people were. Guess I'm starting to get old, but those young punks had no clue or insight about anything. I found out more and new more than those kids did by reading info. on XM's website.

I find it hard to believe, about Sirrus, the rival to XM, that there is a $100 surcharge, and a monthly subscription fee? Just what the young sales"kid" told me. Why would someone go with Sirrus then? What does Sirrus offer vs. XM?

Thanks for your replies,
Mike

Had an add on unit in my last truck, but have the in sterio option on this truck. It sounds better and is a lot easier to use. Spend the couple extra hundred bucks. You'll be glad you did.

Boater's World had a deal running on, i think, Sirius units. $100 for all the stuff including a harness to connect to your existing CD changer. Required a 1 year commitment.

If I may add my 2 cents, the new GM trucks have the option for the XM radio. Anytime an option is avaliable from the factory it is better that the 16 year old kid at Circuit City installing it on your 55K Hummer. XM is good I have experience with Sirius. I would think of the extra cost from the factory as insurance that it will work and its under warranty.
